“Sail(ish)” film celebrates local climate solutions over fossil fuel expansion

Hi PAOV,

Every movement has a sound track. It was a rock concert in 1970 starring James Taylor, Joni Mitchell and Phil Ochs that launched Greenpeace, a great ally of ours. Musicians have the ability to merge imagination with politics through their art, and spark movements that last generations. I’ve wondered who would capture the sound and feel of the fight to halt climate change and keep tankers off our coastline.

The first time I heard Luke Wallace’s music, I knew I was hearing something special. Little did I know that I would soon be accompanying him, along with some other change-makers, on a renewables-focused Salish Sea Tour. We connected with communities along the route the tankers from Kinder Morgan’s dangerous pipeline would sail, and committed to working together for a safer future. Now we want you to come out and join us for the premier of the documentary film shot on the Salish Sea Tour: Sail(ish) – A solar-powered journey to save the Salish Sea.

Luke and Ali Harris have worked hard to create this beautiful documentary, and it is being screened at the Rio Theatre on September 15th for the very first time! Check out the teaser here.

Luke is also releasing the accompanying album on the night, his third sofar. It’s going to be a fun night of great music, discussion, and imagery from a stunning corner of the world, and we would love to see you there. Here are the details:
