This WEDNESDAY, September 23rd - Clock Out, Rise Up!

Please join us THIS WEDNESDAY, the 23rd: SocialCoast presents "Clock Out, Rise Up!", a celebration of the worker and fightin' the man.

Clock Out, Rise Up!

Has “the man” got you down? You work hard, yet that break you received at work today was rather sub-par, wasn’t it? Is that lighting that you work under a bit too fluorescent? Have you been staring out the window, restless like a tiger in captivity? Well dear friend, the day is done and it’s time to clock out. You’re free to go into the night, kick off your boots (“polishable” black shoes perhaps) and share in some laughter with genuine, fun-loving people.

The fact is, the workplace is where many members of our community are facing injustice, unfair compensation and discriminatory treatment. We won’t tolerate it and are united together to support, inform and empower YOU to rise up and take the power back.

That is why we are pleased to present: Clock-Out, Rise Up! An evening to celebrate with your local worker’s movement while learning about new and ongoing advocacy projects, worker-led campaigns, and services that are accessible to everyone.

Beginning at 8pm, enjoy musical performances by Compassion Gorilla, DJ Bryan Skinner, Art Farquharson and special guests. Your host for the evening will be “Your Boss” a.k.a. Atomic Vaudeville's one and only ferociously talented Paul Shortt.
