In the courts and out, West Coast is working to use the law... to give people and communities an active voice in the environmental decisions that affect them.

From First Nations taking an oil pipeline company to court to communities taking climate change adaptation into their own hands, BC is alive with people standing up for land, water and life. Find out more in this edition of the Legal e-Brief.
United Against Enbridge: Stand up for First Nations in court against Enbridge In a distinctly important historical moment, eight First Nations will soon be standing up in court against the proposed Enbridge Northern Gateway pipeline and tankers project. Two of the nations will be represented by West Coast. With our support, these First Nations are embarking on a landmark legal battle, crowdfunded by supporters and allies.

Now, more than ever, people power is needed to show that these Nations do not stand alone. On Oct.1, the first day of court hearings, please join us at 12:30pm for ar0
