Protecting the Peace and our common future. Are you in the circle? r1 ... The fight to stop the Site-C Dam is far from over. Join RAVEN's Circle of Allies and join us in standing up for future generations. r33

I sure wish I had better news for you today. The Peace River Valley is under assault by BC Hydro, who has chosen to proceed with preparations for Site C, even while their permits are being challenged in BC courts.

It is disgraceful that acres of precious farmlands, traditional hunting grounds, and sacred burial sites have already undergone this ecological and cultural damage. But with your help, we have the means to stop further destruction of the Peace River Valley, and uphold the right of meaningful consultation for the West Moberly and Prophet River First Nations.

In the face of such environmental destruction we are all allies together, and the RAVEN team will not let up. We have to stay strong so we can support the West Moberly and Prophet River Nations’ legal actions through Social Media blasts, grant applications, requests to Foundations, matching donor appeals, and support to the active and committed Treaty 8 team for their local fundraising events. Please join RAVEN’s Circle of Allies to ensure the RAVEN team can keep up the pressure.

RAVEN’s track record is strong. In the past eight months, 1000’s of caring individuals rallied to donate over $150,000 for the legal team working on behalf of the West Moberly and Prophet River First Nations. BC Hydro was just in the courts to address the non-compliance issues with their permits because you helped Treaty 8 challenge those permits.

RAVEN needs your support to keep fighting these fights. Will you join our Circle of Allies? We need help, consistent help, to carry on fundraising for the Indigenous Peoples who fight for the land we all love. Your monthly donations make it possible for this top-notch fundraising team to support Indigenous Peoples in Canada who are committed to defending the integrity of the land and their culture.
