Introducing the Every Voter Counts Alliance

Over the past few months Leadnow has been working behind the scenes with our friends at Fair Vote Canada, The Broadbent Institute and Council of Canadians, along with other ally groups on the frontlines of strengthening our democracy, to build broad, multi-partisan support for proportional representation as the best way to fix what’s wrong with Canada’s broken voting system.

Today, we’re pleased to introduce the Every Voter Counts Alliance.

The Ever Voter Counts Alliance brings together organizations and individuals in support of a fair voting system in which every vote counts, independent of party interests. Over a dozen organizations, representing millions of voters have signed on including Canadian Federation of Students, Mouvement démocratie nouvelle, YWCA Canada, Idle No More and Équiterre.

Together, we’re ready to give big boost to the national conversation in support of a fair voting system.

As an independent, multi-issue campaigning and organizing community, we look forward to doing our part at Leadnow to keep this issue front of mind with the federal government.
