The BC Sustainable Energy Association is set to host its first major event, Energy Connections 2016, June 3rd in Vancouver. In the months following the COP21 Agreement we’ve seen the last coal plant shut down in Scotland, close to 300,000 pre-orders of the Tesla Model 3, and the federal government commit $130 million to green building retrofits. It is safe to say we’re in the transition to a low carbon economy, and there is a place for everyone!
Join us at Energy Connections 2016 to discuss with Clean Energy Canada, BC Hydro, the City of Vancouver, SolShare,... Bullfrog Power, HUB, the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines and more, what actions can be taken today on sustainable energy. Sessions will focus on both higher level plans and policy, as well as local actions, on clean energy generation, energy efficiency and conservation, and low carbon transportation.
Opportunities are still available to sponsor and exhibit at Energy Connections and get your business noticed. Registration is open online, and the early-bird deadline ends April 15th! Secure your involvement today in one of the biggest sustainable energy events of the year.

Power Producers: Building Communities & the Green Economy in BC!
A forthcoming report from Clean Energy BC details how clean energy producers have made a lasting positive legacy across the province, helping to fight climate change while bringing real benefits to First Nations communities and resource towns hit hard by commodity price shifts. Paul Kariya is the Executive Director of Clean Energy BC, which commissioned the upcoming report. On April 28th, from 12-1pm, Paul will share the findings, and welcome questions about the role that clean power sector could play in helping the province meet its commitments to fight climate change.
