Canada isn’t usually considered a world leader when it comes to modern renewable energy. Its abundant big hydro, along with fossil energy resources, has made it a less than urgent priority over the past couple of decades. However, one area that has seen renewable energy flourish is in its education sector.
B.C. Businesses Support a Stronger Carbon Tax
More than 160 B.C. businesses have signed the following open letter calling on the B.C. government to commit to strengthening the province’s carbon tax as part of the Climate Leadership Plan, due out this spring. The letter was signed by five of BCSEA’s business members; Avalon Mechanical Consultants, Bullfrog Power, Canada Ticket, Swiss Solar Tech and the Vancouver Renewable Energy.
