Dear Paov,

I am very excited to announce the release of our five minute video Dasiqox Tribal Park – For Future Generations. This is the second of a two-part series about the tribal park that the Wilderness Committee and our partners River Voices Productions have produced.

You may remember that in March of this year we launched the first video –Dasiqox Tribal Park - Nexwagwez?an - There for us, which focused on First Nations’ cultural aspects of the tribal park.

Our latest release, Dasiqox Tribal Park – For Future Generations highlights the tremendous environmental importance of this stunningly beautiful wild area, located west of Williams Lake, BC, in the heart of Tsilhqot’in Nation territory.

Watch the video and you will see some of the spectacular wildlife that lives there and hear from the amazing people working hard to protect the territory.

“We need to protect our land – protect our animals. If we don’t take care of our animals, then who is going to do it?” says Councillor Jessica Setah-Alphonse of Yunesit'in.

This video was produced in partnership with the Tsilhqot’in communities of Xeni Gwet'in, Yunesit'in and the Friends of Nemiah Valley.

Raising public awareness about the work to designate the Dasiqox Tribal Park is critical in order to support the Tsilhqot’in people’s efforts to protect and manage their beautiful territory.

Please write to your MLA, BC’s Premier and Canada’s Prime Minister in support of the Dasiqox Tribal Park proposal. It’s time to write again to remind our elected leaders that we need action now to ensure that Dasiqox Tribal Park is protected.

For the wild,

Joe Foy | National Campaign Director
