Can spread the word to others you know?
10:00 am Monday, June 6th
Topaz Room, Comfort Hotel & Conference Centre
3020 Blanshard Street
Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board
(your next opportunity will be in June 2018)
The Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board will be holding a public
meeting at the Comfort Inn on Blanshard at 10:00 am, Monday, June
6th.
Here's your opportunity to learn how they manage our pension investment
funds and to comment on directions you feel they could take.
The CPPIB's current investments are shown on this web-page
http://www.cppib.com/en/what-we-do/our-investments.html and they
include private equity plus the following public equity
holdings:
Canadian publicly-traded investments
http://www.cppib.com/dam/cppib/What%20We%20Do/Our%20Investment/Q4%202016%20Canadian%20Public%20Equity%20Holdings%20(EN).htm
Foreign-traded investments

Real Estate holdings

There is a "wealth" of information/provocation on their
web-site, including the 2015 annual report, which you probably will be
given a hard copy of at the meeting.

And this "Responsible Investing" document details their
active engagement and focus on issues of
climate change, water,
extractive industries and exec compensation.

Please try to attend and to share your opinions. If
you prefer to participate in the webcast from home, here are the
instructions for registering as well as the schedule of simultaneous,
open public meetings (can you alert
friends in these other cities?)

Two years ago this meeting was very poorly attended.
This year let's be sure to let them know that people in Greater Victoria
are very concerned about how our pension funds are invested.
