We are attempting to reach out in solidarity with other progressive organizations and individuals from the community, and would be happy to hear from you about local events.
The Lekwungen Club will be hosting a monthly discussion around the theory and practice of Marxist and communist ideas. The sessions will be open to all members of the community as we strive to achieve a greater understanding of socialist principles - for beginners and budding revolutionary theorists alike!
Location: Cornerstone Cafe, 1301 Gladstone Ave.
Date: 7:00 pm, 7 June 2016.
Our first session will be "What is Communism?" It is aimed particularly at those with limited or no prior knowledge, and will outline the basic defining tenets of communism. Optional supplementary readings can be found here: lekwungenclub.wordpress.com/scotty-neish-class
The educational sessions have been named in honour of Scotty Neish.
