The Site-C Dam threatens to annihilate BC’s 2nd largest agricultural valley — and the constitutional rights of the Treaty 8 Nations. If you have been looking for a way to support the people who are fighting to protect the abundant and culturally rich Peace Valley, please read on.
Every year, West Moberly First Nations and the Peace Valley Environment Association host a Paddle for the Peace that brings hundreds of people to the Peace River to protest Site-C. It is an incredible gathering of support for the people who are fighting this wasteful and damaging dam.
But not everyone can make it up to Fort St. John for the Paddle. That’s why RAVEN and LeadNow joined forces to launch Grab a Paddle, a campaign that will show Prime Minister Justin Trudeau how strong the opposition to Site-C Dam really is. You can be part of a movement to protect the Peace River Valley – from wherever you are this July.
You can contribute in three ways:

You can help to put an end to this dam. Please lean in for this critical period to amplify the Grab a Paddle campaign. Spread the word, show your network how they can take action, and get your community together to Grab a Paddle this July.
This is a pivotal moment. We need to raise the roof this July so that the federal government and the people of BC feel the full force of our opposition to Site-C. Check out our beautiful new Grab a Paddle website and see how you can be part of this important initiative. Together, we can win this.
