PARTY AGAINST DISPLACEMENT: June 27, 5 PM, Super InTent City

https://www.facebook.com/events/152829005131039

Super InTent City has survived for 8 months and accomplished so much in that time, including saving lives, building community, asserting homeless people's political power, and getting a commitment for 178 units of long-term housing towards the crisis of 1400 people living outside or in emergency shelters.

On June 27-28 Super InTent CityZens are once again going to court to fight the BC government's attempt to displace the camp. Show some love by coming to... the camp to celebrate Super InTent CityZens' resilience and all their accomplishments, and to provide support after a long day in court.

If you can make food (even if you can't come to the event): visit https://drive.google.com/open?id=1lrlNNy8h1-CKqS3WO3PSrXE7MoPi7-KaEM1x179Plac to see what other people are bringing, then email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to sign up to bring food, pop, or coffee for a 5 PM serving. If you can't come, we will do our best to arrange pickup of pre-made food from your place on the day of the event. If you can come feel free to bring art supplies too, to make posters and placards showing love for the camp! Or if you live far away or won't be in town, you can email a support message to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we'll print it and bring it to the camp.

***This event is being held on the traditional and current territories of the Lekwungen people. Dispossession and displacement go hand in hand. Disproportionately high numbers of Indigenous people are homeless, as a result of colonialism.***

Accessibility: Super InTent City is 2 blocks from the #3, 11, 14, 15, and 22 bus stop on Fort Street, and 4-5 blocks from buses that stop on Douglas Street near View/Fort. There are gravel paths into the camp from the sidewalk. If you assistance please email us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
