Dear PAOV,
What an amazing response!
I just wanted to make sure you saw Brittany’s email below. Time and again, the Leadnow community just blows us away with your generosity and commitment. From coast to coast to coast, people like you are digging deep and have just helped us raise $10,000!
Can you chip in and help us hit $18,000? We’ll get straight to work designing our hard-hitting ads tomorrow and the more we raise right now, the more effective our ads will be.

Thanks for all you do,
Amara, on behalf of the Leadnow team
Prime Minister Trudeau is caught between BC Premier Christy Clark and his promise of renewed relations with First Nations.
With your help, we can show him that he has the support to make the right decision: put a moratorium on Site C construction permits until courts rule on the First Nations’ legal challenge.
We have a plan ready to go, but we need to raise $10,000 to roll it all out.
Can you imagine being bullied off your family farm so the land can be flooded? Can you imagine watching your traditional territory get bulldozed by Christy Clark while your legal challenge hasn’t even been considered?
Next week, hundreds of people are gathering in BC to paddle and celebrate the Peace River Valley, currently under dire threat from the Site C dam.[1] Local farmers and First Nations have done a heroic job of slowing down this destructive project,[2] but BC Premier Christy Clark is pushing hard to get Prime Minister Trudeau to sign the construction permits she needs to build the dam.
PM Trudeau could sign the permits at any moment, but momentum is growing. Nearly 20,000 of you have signed the petition,[3] and First Nations are mobilizing around the Paddle for the Peace. It’s the perfect moment for PM Trudeau to side with the First Nations who are fighting a legal battle to defend their rights to hunt, fish, and trap.
We’ve designed a campaign to amplify the voices of the farmers and First Nations affected by the dam, while pushing PM Trudeau and Minister Leblanc to do the right thing: put a moratorium on construction permits until the courts rule on the legal challenge. If we raise $10,000, we can blanket the country with a powerful video, set up billboards in the Prime Minister’s riding, and flood key ministers’ offices with phone calls from people who are concerned by the dam.
Can you help make this happen? Click here to help fund this powerful campaign now.
We have a bold plan to spread the word and build momentum against the dangerous Site C dam next week:
Imagine PM Trudeau and Minister LeBlanc, who are on the verge of picking a side -- Christy Clark vs. local farmers and Treaty 8 First Nations -- seeing our billboards in their home ridings, while their offices are flooded with phone calls from concerned people across the country. They’ll know they have the support to do the right thing and put a moratorium on construction permits until the courts rule on the First Nations’ legal challenge.
The Leadnow campaigning community is over 500,000 strong from coast to coast to coast and we’ve come together time and again to take action in so many ways. We know crowdfunding like this works. From full page ads in the Ottawa Citizen to safeguard women’s rights, to helping raise over $300,000 for a First Nations’ legal challenge against FIPA, we’ve seen how quickly lots of small donations add up, and the amazing things we can do together when we all chip in.
