Dear Paov,
Our next Volunteer Action Night is a week away, and you’re invited.
We’re in the midst of a busy summer, and this month we’re going to focus on our plans to fight the Kinder Morgan tarsands pipeline proposal!
Despite overwhelming opposition to the project from First Nations, municipal governments, businesses and the people of British Columbia, the federal government is still striving to get social license for this risky, climate-changing project.
A panel convened by the federal government to take another look at this pipeline proposal is coming to Victoria and we’re going to be there. Although this new process has been fundamentally flawed from the get go, it’s still a good opportunity to remind them of our opposition and have some fun!
Join us next week to learn about our plans and find out how you can help.
As always, we’ll also do a brief update on our campaign to protect the Walbran Valley.
We host our regular Volunteer Action Nights on the last Wednesday of every month from 5:30-7:00pm at our Victoria office (#202, 3 Fan Tan Alley). Snacks are provided.
Please RSVP on our Facebook event page here. If you have any questions, or if you can't make it to the meeting but would still like to get involved, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
