Last chance to send your comments to the Kinder Morgan panel before Sept 30

Political cartoon by Andy GoertzDear Paov,

Battling hot days, and short notice, you came out to the Kinder Morgan public meetings this summer in full force. Impassioned speeches were made all across BC, and the results were obvious with 91 per cent opposing this pipeline.

Yet, we’re nearing the deadline for emailed comments on Friday, Sept 30, and we’re hearing the oil industry is telling its employees to write in. That’s why we’ve got our handy letter-writing tool so that you can send your message to the review panel and tip the scales in our favour.

WRITE YOUR LETTER TODAY Each month of 2016 has been the hottest in recorded history, and we saw the devastation of a tar sands spill this summer in Saskatchewan. Why then are we still talking about a pipeline that puts our communities at risk of an oil spill and climate disaster?

Kinder Morgan’s plan to bring 890,000 barrels of dirty tar sands oil a day across our precious waters is a no-win option for the Salish Sea and for meeting any plausible climate goals.

Let’s send a clear message to the panel by September 30: we do not grant permission for this pipeline to be built!

Please email your comments to the panel directly – the strength of our united voices will not go unheard.

For the climate,
