Learn how at a free Cool It! In Your Community workshop!
BCSEA is proud to announce it will be extending its in-school educational program, Cool It! Climate Leadership Training, to the communities of British Columbia with Cool It! In Your Community, sponsored by Vancity.
Cool It! In Your Community invites families with children between the ages of 9 and 13 to take part in a free educational workshop, in which they will learn what actions can be taken as a family to reduce their GHG emissions. These actions start small, but when compounded, can have a huge effect on a family unit’s carbon footprint.
Designed to be engaging for both parents and children, and highlighting particular actions for each, the 90 minute workshop will educate and inspire families to the actions they can take... to help combat the effects of climate change. After the workshop, parents will take home a 30 day challenge, allowing the entire family to take the lessons learnt and apply them to day to day life. To cap it all off, all children will receive a goodybag for taking part!
This is an amazing opportunity to learn, as a family, lifelong lessons that will help ensure a cleaner, greener world for future generations.
