The Canadian Youth Delegation to Marrakesh builds on a long
history of Canadian youth engagement in the United Nations Framework
Convention on Climate Change. Since the large and unprecedented
mobilization of young people at COP11 in Montreal in 2005, youth from
Canada have organized a presence at major meetings, from COP12 in
Nairobi to COP21 in Paris.
This year a team of young people
will return to COP as a voice of the Canadian youth climate movement
at international United Nations climate conferences. Made up of
dedicated and inspiring leaders from across the country, the
delegation represents the demands of a generation working to create a
just, safe, and livable future for all. Bridging communities from
Vancouver to Halifax, we couldn't be more excited about this year's
Canadian Youth Delegation to COP22.
Without the engagement of youth back in our own communities, the CYD
are nothing more than tourists, which is why we need you. In order to
bring your voices with us to COP 22, we want to hear from you!
