Don’t despair — the pipeline fight is just getting started r1 ... r33

Now, it's all hands on deck to STOP Kinder Morgan!

Dear Paov,

This week’s US election news was a punch in the gut.

President Trump will waste time we don’t have in the fight against climate change. Now more than ever, we need to stop pipelines.

Six years of campaigning have brought us to the next few weeks.

We’ve got precious days to convince the Canadian government to reject the Kinder Morgan pipeline.

Not a day goes by when they’re not hearing the message loud and clear. And the good news is it’s working. The Trudeau government can be convinced to reject this project, if we continue to fight!

By now you know the reasons why the Kinder Morgan project can’t go forward. This pipeline runs roughshod over Indigenous rights and enables the expansion of the tar sands at a time when our global climate is spiraling out of control. It must be stopped.

A tar sands spill would devastate the Salish Sea. Even without a spill, noise from the tankers would severely impact the already endangered southern resident killer whales.

If you’re in the Lower Mainland, we need you in the streets. On Nov 19 at noon we’re participating in a giant rally at Vancouver City Hall where we will march across the Cambie Bridge to show the world that we are ready to stop this project. Invite everyone. We’ve even got people coming in from Victoria, Kamloops and Washington.

Wherever you are, our elected officials need to hear from you. Write a letter to your representatives and the federal cabinet who will make the decision. If you’ve written already, write again. Pick up the phone and call them too. You can use our talking points. They need to know Canadians all across the country are resolute in opposition.

Write your letter today!

It’s our last chance to tell Justin Trudeau to reject this reckless pipeline.

This time is now. We need to pull out all the stops.

For the climate,
