Dear Friends of SJS,
May Day in Victoria
Monday, May 1 at 4pm, corner of Richmond and Fort.
Celebrating International Workers Day in Victoria by showing our support for the 4.000 hospital support service workers who are being hyper exploited by multinationals corporations owning the contracts for cleaning and dietary services in our hospitals.
VIHA plays an important and pivotal role in this exploitation, taking full advantage of it and hiding behind the multinationals.
Please wear “orange” so symbolize workers getting “squeezed” like oranges by multinationals in our city.

around the world in celebration of International Workers’ Day, MayWorks is a
festival organized by a coalition of organizations. We will be co-hosting a
series of fun, diverse events to celebrate social justice and workers' rights.
All events are free or low cost, and no one will be turned away for lack of
funds. The festival is organized on the territories of the Lkwungen,
