Hi Paov,
All summer, the thousands of British Columbians who have been driven from their homes by wildfires have been on my mind and in my heart.
At such a devastating time, I'm simply baffled that Canada wants to build new pipelines to export tar sands bitumen to Asia and pump even more carbon pollution into the atmosphere.
Climate links between more frequent and more severe wildfires and the burning of fossil fuels are abundantly clear. Yet Kinder Morgan’s tar sands pipeline would spew 100 megatonnes of greenhouse gases into Earth’s atmosphere — like adding 21 million cars to the road.
Now more than ever, Premier Horgan needs to hear that British Columbians are behind him in saying no to Kinder Morgan’s tar sands pipeline.

Kinder Morgan plans to start construction on its pipeline in September. Despite 19 court cases that aim to overturn the federal government’s earlier approval and the unified opposition of municipalities, First Nations and the Province of BC, the company still plans to move forward.
We cannot let that happen. Defeating this pipeline is our line in the sand.
Write your letter today and encourage the BC government to go to bat for the climate by doing everything they can do to stop the reckless Kinder Morgan pipeline project.
