Register now to dam the construction on Site C
Dear Paov,
This is your chance to make your voice heard and stop Site C.
The British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) is holding a public consultation process – Community Input Sessions – on Site C.
Registrations start today to attend or to speak. Let’s make our opposition of the Site C dam known to the government, the BCUC and the rest of BC.

The public consultation process is part of an inquiry into Site C. These discussions are a chance to provide feedback on the inquiry’s preliminary report. They will be held from
Sept.23 to
Oct.11 in the following cities:
Vancouver, Kamloops, Kelowna, Nelson, Prince George, Hudson’s Hope, Fort St. John, Nanaimo and Victoria. For more information take a look at the
schedule.
The proposed 60 meter high Site C mega dam will flood over 100 km of river valley, drowning a land area equal to 14 Stanley Parks. Site C will affect Indigenous Peoples’ fishing, hunting, and trapping, and sacred Indigenous sites that are thousands of years old.
BC Hydro says we need Site C because we need the energy. This is not true. Hydro's own reports say BC can meet current demands through energy conservation. Site C is not about meeting the electricity demands of British Columbians – it's about subsidizing BC’s oil, gas and mining industries. It’s an $8 billion taxpayer subsidy to a dirty fossil fuel industry.
Please, register now to speak up against Site C.
Thank you for making a difference.
