Resilient Streets Fall Kick-Off Workshops   Want to build more community
on your street or in your building?
We are  so excited about our upcoming Resilient Streets Kick off workshops this fall in new neighbourhoods: James Bay and Burnside Gorge. And we hope you will join us!

Join us for an evening of ideas, stories, refreshments and inspiration on fun ways to build  a Resilient Street on your street and foster community with your immediate neighbours. Meet some neighbours, learn about micro-grants, community resources, tools & tips for getting started on a small projects or gatherings to strengthen connections on your block or in your multi-family building.


These workshops are open to people from any neighbourhood to attend. Bring a friend, a spouse or a neighbour!  Invite your landlord or your tenant!

James Bay: Sunday, September 17th, 7:00PM – 9:00 PM. Register here

Fall 2017 intake   is September 11th - October 15th!


 
Have you got a great idea for your block?
 
 
My Great Neighbourhood Grants are an opportunity for residents to bring neighbours together and create projects and plan activities that you want to see in your neighbourhoods! The fall intake will be opening soon!
 
Projects can range from creating gathering spots to socialize, celebrating a neighbourhood with a mural to setting up a little library on a street corner. Activities get people meeting each other through celebrations, cleaning up your neighbourhood or setting up emergency response programs on a block. Your ideas can be as ambitious or modest as you like.
 
You can find more information on the City website. Think about something that you might like to do and then call us to explore your ideas with a member of the Neighbourhood Team.
