call for support

Dear Friends of SJS,

Local Activists Call for Support:

On October 10th, Premier John Horgan and three NDP MLAs visited the Big House in Yalis and met with 40 hereditary chiefs from eight Kwakwaka'wakw nations. He was asked a simple question: "Will you promise to remove open net fish farms from our waters". He responded: "I promise to take this information back to my cabinet."

This response is totally inadequate. This Friday, from noon to 4:00, we invite you to join us in peacefully occupying John Horgan's constituency office at 122-2806 Jacklin Road to remind him of his responsibility to stop intensifying colonialism and follow the clear voice of indigenous leadership.
