Dear Paov,
On Saturday, hundreds piled into kayaks in the Burrard Inlet to stop construction on Kinder Morgan’s marine terminal. It was the first of many battles on land and in the water.
I was out on the water as cheers went up from the crowd when Kinder Morgan stopped driving its piles into the seabed — there to capture the excitement in the activists’ voices for our new podcast.
In Line in the Sand, we bring you stories from the frontlines in the fight against the pipeline. Join me as I travel from the frigid waters of the Salish Sea to mountain passes in Secwepemcul’ecw, meeting the people who will do anything to protect their home from an oil spill.
