Dear Paov,
It’s almost spring and that means we’re gearing up for another field season.
For decades, the Wilderness Committee has been organizing trail building trips as part of our strategy to help protect incredible rainforest ecosystems.

Our 2018 season features multi-day trail building expeditions in Kaxi:ks (Walbran Valley) on southern Vancouver Island and Wah-nuh-jus—Hilthoois (Meares Island) in Clayoquot Sound. We'll be working with First Nations guardians and local activists to protect these ancient forests.
These trips are an incredible opportunity. By night, we’ll camp below ancient forest canopies among towering western cedar trees and by day, we’ll build and upgrade infrastructure so thousands of others can enjoy these breathtaking places.

You will need to put in some long days, carry heavy loads and walk for several hours, but in return we promise you great company, spectacular views and a weekend of meaningful work.
If you’re physically fit, an experienced hiker and camper, come join one of our trail building trips.
There are limited spots available and these trips are in high demand so click here for more details and sign up today. Do your part to promote the preservation of BC’s wild landscapes.
