Last week, Wilderness Committee supporters rallied outside five influential Liberal MP offices to oppose the federal government’s plan to use taxpayer money to prop up Kinder Morgan’s faltering pipeline proposal.
If you weren’t able to join us, there’s still time to be heard!
Not everyone can make it out to an event but I’m sure you’ve got a few minutes to call your Member of Parliament and demand they put a stop to this foolish idea.
Finance Minister Bill Morneau is negotiating a bailout plan with Texas-based Kinder Morgan as we speak which could cost Canadians up to $10 billion!We’ve got until May 31 to convince this government to abandon its corporate welfare scheme. All the government has to do is let the company back away from a pipeline that threatens coastal communities, violates Indigenous rights and fuels catastrophic climate change.
