WILL YOU STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE PAPER REVOLUTION COLLECTIVE
The Paper Revolution Collective is in the midst of it's seventh year of
existence. Since our collective founding, Paper Revolution has worked to
not only organize countless protests and actions - but we have also
worked to provide the world with many free resources that include
information on street medicine, activist security, prisoner support, and
more! Individuals utilize this information from all over the world to
help them achieve greater empowerment so that they can begin to instill
changes for the betterment of their local communities.
WE HATE TO DO THIS - BUT WE NEED TO ASK YOU TO STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH
US: We have one month to raise at least $200.00 to help keep our
collective website online, and even more to secure our website with an
SSL Certificate. Throughout the last 365 days over 250,000 individuals
have visited or utilized our online resources and we want to work to
protect those who visit our website along with those who work to curate
information for the collective whole.
We are already at odds with meeting our goal due to censorship through
our social media channels and from major search engines such as Google -
so we must turn to you for some mutual aid... and of course, any amount
of donations that exceed our goals will be utilized to further empower
the Paper Revolution collective cause.

PROTEST HUSKY ENERGY'S LIABILITY WAIVERS FOR SUPERIOR REFINERY FIRE
INJURIES - MAY 9TH
Husky Energy is requiring anyone with a health or injury claim from the
Superior refinery fire to sign liability waivers. These waivers could
prevent the signee from taking future legal action, or getting
compensation for health problems that have not yet manifested
themselves. Given the harm that our community has suffered, and the
unknown risks that we face going forward, we are outraged by Husky’s
selfish attempt to limit their liability.
Even though this is standard industry procedure, it isn't right.
The people who were harmed by this disaster deserve better! Our whole
community deserves better! It's time to call on Husky Energy to
immediately suspend and tear up these waivers. Towards that end The
Northern Worker will be holding a protest picket on Wednesday, May 9
from 5:30-6:30pm.
They will be gathering at the intersection of Hammond Avenue and Belknap
(in front of the Courthouse) in downtown Superior, WI. Please spread the
word, and join in, so that collectively we can show that we stand by our
injured friends and family, and demand that Husky Energy do right by
them!

2018 MEMORIAL RALLY FOR TERRANCE FRANKLIN

Eight shots to the head, to the neck, to the arm arm, and to the back. -
It's been five years since the Minneapolis Police Department took the
life of Terrance Franklin. The community of Minneapolis has yet to see
justice or recieve clear answers as to why Terrance "Mookie" Franklin
was murdered.
Show up to remember the life of Terrance and demand an end to police
crime.

CASKET CINEMA PRESENTS: AMERICA RECYCLED - MAY 10TH
America Recycled - Thursday May 10th, 2018 showing at 8pm.
Casket Cinema traverses the South with an intriguing film about 2
brothers cycling across America. “America Recycled” follows the Hussin
siblings in their two year odyssey from Asheville, North Carolina to the
Pacific ocean. Along the way they live with modern homesteading
communities, who teach them to eat roadkill, travel light and bend their
philosophies and adjust their preconceptions of what America is.
This award winning film is likely to turn the Casket’s audiences wheels
of understanding sideways and shake the rust off who you think is living
up that dirt road.
Special guests for this Casket are TBD and will talk with Casket Cinema
co-founders Mark Wojahn & Wilbur Ince after the film.

The Street Medic Guide page on Paper Revolution is host to many
resources and documents which focuses upon the history and practice of
street medicine in modern protest environments. Just as street medics
themselves are not a viable replacement for emergency services, our
guide in no way approaches a replacement for actual first aid and street
medic training. It exists to serve as a basic introduction to both the
idea of street medics, and to the Paper Revolution collective community,
specifically.

SWEET OM COMMUNITY KITCHEN HEADS TO REVIVAL FESTIVAL
We are proud to announce that the Sweet Om Alabama Community Kitchen is
entering it’s 23rd year of service – and as always – we need the
kindness and support of our collective community to help us continue
into our 2018 season.
The Sweet Om Kitchen provides hundreds – sometimes thousands – of
delicious meals, fresh coffee, and snacks at Rainbow Family Gatherings,
festivals, and wherever else needed. All of the food, snacks, coffee,
and drinks served are donated from kind souls from within our collective
community.
The Sweet Om Community Kitchen will deploy for the first time in 2018 at
the Revival Music Festival at Harmony Park in Clarks Grove, MN. If
you'll be attending the festival and would like to help support the
kitchen we are looking both for food and financial assistance so that we
can continue to serve and expand our operations.
