New video reveals urgent need to stop logging in the Manning Park Donut Hole r1 ...

We have the perfect chance to stop logging in the Manning Park Donut Hole

Dear Paov,

We still have time to stop several planned clearcuts from scarring the beautiful views from Silverdaisy Peak, a popular hiking destination in the Manning Park Donut Hole. We need to act now before work in the Donut Hole starts up again!

Write to stop logging! I discovered logging road construction to a planned clearcut on the upper slopes of Silverdaisy Mountain has ground to a halt. That means there's still time to stop these impending clearcuts that would do so much damage.

We’ve just published a video showing the results of that trip I made into the Manning Park Donut Hole this BC Day. The Donut Hole is a 5,800 hectare unprotected wild area completely surrounded by Manning and Skagit provincial parks. It’s unprotected because of a mineral claim in the area – but we want the BC government to buy the claim holder out and make the Donut Hole part of BC’s protected area system.

If you have already written about this – please do so again. Ask our BC government to cancel the logging permits in the Manning Park Donut Hole!
Write to stop logging! Thank you for your efforts on behalf of BC’s wild nature!

For the wild,
