Tailings Dam Spills at Mount Polley, BC
and Mariana, Brazil
Join us to talk with authors Judith Marshall and Bruno Milanez
Hello Paov,
Imagine something like the Mount Polley mining disaster happening twice every 10 years in BC! That could be our future according to a new report.

The report, co-published by the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, the Wilderness Committee, Corporate Mapping Project and PoEMAS, explores the thoughtless relationship between the mining industry and the ministry in charge of it. How on Earth is the BC ministry of mining in charge of both selling mines and policing them?!
Join us to hear from the report’s authors, Judith Marshall and Bruno Milanez (PoEMAS, Brazil) about what we can learn from these disasters about corporate power and influence.
