Dear Paov,
Southern mountain caribou in BC need your help and it’s urgent.
On Nov. 23, the provincial and federal governments announced their draft conservation agreement and their intention to protect the endangered southern mountain caribou and reverse the current population decline.

Just a week before, the Wilderness Committee was on the ground near Wells Gray Provincial Park and saw active logging in the habitat identified by the federal government as critical to caribou survival.

In fact, there are permits recently issued by the BC government for over 3,000 cutblocks which have been logged or are about to be logged in the caribou’s critical habitat.
The governments are asking for input during a one-month public consultation period on their draft agreement. This is your chance to have your say.
Write Now!Tell the BC government they must stop all logging and all other industrial activity in critical southern mountain caribou habitat.
