Call on the government to
reject Terminal 2

Hi Paov,

The Fraser estuary has supported marine life and First Nations communities since time immemorial. This essential ecosystem is being threatened by the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 expansion project.

The project has undergone a federal environmental assessment and Minister of Environment and Climate Change Jonathan Wilkinson will make a key decision in the coming months. He must decide whether harm to the environment from this project will be significant. If he says it is, this is the first step in getting the project scrapped for good!

Write Minister Wilkinson and ask him to reject Terminal 2!

Write now Click here to check out this video on the Fraser River Estuary and Terminal 2 Terminal 2 is owned by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority that wants to create a new shipping container terminal next to the current Deltaport (owned by a different company). The Vancouver Fraser Port Authority is trying to push the project through even though there will be significant adverse environmental effects to wetlands, barn owls, Dungeness crab, chinook salmon and endangered southern resident killer whales.

The project will threaten current use and cultural heritage to many First Nations along the project route. The public will be at risk from exposure to nitrogen dioxide and other respiratory irritants while the project is in operation. Additionally, the largest salmon run on the Pacific Coast comes from the Fraser river, which provides food for the southern residents, First Nations and other communities. This project puts all of this at further risk. Help cancel Terminal 2 We need Wilkinson to agree with the science that concludes harm from this project will be significant. Then the cabinet can make the final decision to cancel it for good!
