Write now to stop Tilbury LNG
Hi Paov,
Those sneaky frackers are at it again.
Once thought vanquished, a proposed LNG plant on Tilbury Island in the Fraser River has returned from the dead. FortisBC wants to expand an existing storage facility there to produce five megatonnes of LNG per year to fuel ships and for export.
We need your help to stop it. FortisBC has applied to the BC Environmental Assessment Office (BC EAO) for a permit and they’re currently asking for public comment. The deadline is this Thursday! Will you write in and ask them to reject Tilbury LNG?
It turns out the BC EAO will not accept your letters via email but we’ve found another and just as simple way to make your voice heard.
Will you use our auto-fax tool to demand the BC EAO stop FortisBC’s Tilbury LNG plant? Send your fax! This will be a test of the provincial government’s new review process. If it lives up to the promises they made about taking public concerns seriously, especially about climate change, this proposal should be dead in the water.
For the climate, Donate |r0.
