Join us Sept. 14 for a virtual book launch!

Hi Paov,

As the federal government claims it will spend on green initiatives to combat climate change, a new book from an old friend shows us how to apply lessons from the past.

A Good War: Mobilizing Canada for the Climate Emergency by Seth Klein, former executive director of the CCPA-BC, compares the mobilization needed to eliminate carbon pollution to the efforts Canada made to fight World War Two.

Join us for the virtual book launch in Manitoba on Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. PT. Register here! We’ll have a Q&A session with the author, music from Dan Mangan and Khari McClelland, and a panel discussion with Vancouver-area climate activists Khelsilem, Atiya Jaffer and Naia Lee.

Canada needs to transform our economy as fast as possible to do its part to maintain a safe climate, but the good news is this isn’t the first time. We’ve made drastic changes to combat global threats before and we can do it again. We don’t have a choice.

I hope you can make it!
