Nuchatlaht are in court to get their land back
Hi Paov,
The Nuchatlaht Nation are fighting in the BC Supreme Court to get their land back through a groundbreaking title case starting on March 21! Their hahoulthee (territory) includes a large part of Nootka Island off the rugged west coast of Vancouver Island which has been impacted by industrial logging and fishing for almost a century at the hands of the BC government and giant corporations.
Join us on Thursday, March 3 at 5:30 pm. Hear the Nuchatlaht people’s story, about their groundbreaking title case, their strong and sustainable vision for their lands and waters and how you can help them win.
For those of you who won’t be able to join us, we’ll be recording the event and will post it after. You can invite your friends, family and community to the event by sharing the Facebook event page.
