A jury ruled Monsanto's toxic weedkiller, glyphosate, caused a man's terminal cancer -- and this week a judge upheld the verdict.

Now, Monsanto is about to appeal the verdict to avoid paying compensation and stop other cancer victims from coming forward. We can’t let Monsanto undo this landmark victory -- so we’re fighting back.

Will you chip into support the man taking on Monsanto, Dewayne Johnson, and bring Bayer and Monsanto to justice?

A,

Monsanto is forcing a father of three small children to spend his last days on earth in a lengthy legal battle.

Dewayne Johnson is dying of cancer. This year, he made history when he sued Monsanto for giving him cancer -- and won.

But there’s one problem: Monsanto’s parent company Bayer is a sore loser.

Monsanto had been claiming for decades its weedkiller wasn’t dangerous -- but Mr Johnson’s lawyers proved the company knew full well about glyphosate’s deadly effects and did nothing to warn the public.

Instead of accepting responsibility, Monsanto and Bayer are about to appeal the case, dragging out the court battle and forcing Mr Johnson and his family to spend his remaining time on earth in court fighting.

Mr. Johnson is taking on the biggest agribusiness in the world -- let's let him know we've got his back and he’s not alone in this fight.

Can you chip in to help Mr Johnson fight Bayer and Monsanto and help get glyphosate off the planet for good?

Last August, a jury ruled that the weedkiller glyphosate had caused Mr Johnson’s cancer, and ordered Monsanto to pay him $289 million in damages. This week, the judge lowered punitive damages to $78.5 million -- still affirming the company’s liability for causing cancer, and opening the door for more lawsuits in the future.

Mr Johnson’s case sets a precedent for other cases -- a precedent Monsanto hates. This case can open the floodgates for more lawsuits and ultimately help wipe glyphosate off the planet for good.

Bayer’s share prices have dropped drastically, as thousands of people are waiting to follow in Mr Johnson’s footsteps. Some analysts say that with class-action lawsuits, the company could face nearly $700 billion in liabilities. So it’s no wonder Bayer and Monsanto want to strike down this historic win.

But A, we're not going to let that happen. If you can chip in now, we will double down on our campaign to stop glyphosate for good and support Mr Johnson in his fight against Monsanto.

For years, SumOfUs members like you have been fighting to end glyphosate’s reign of terror. In Europe, over one million of you told the EU Commission you were in favour of a ban on the herbicide -- but at the last minute, Monsanto’s lobbyists got the licence renewed for another five years.

Now, thanks to Mr Johnson’s bravery, it seems like the pendulum is finally swinging in our direction. Monsanto and Bayer are running out of dirty tricks to pull. This appeal is an act of desperation -- together, we can squash it and make sure glyphosate never harms another human being again.

We’re so close to a massive, history-changing victory for ordinary citizens over deadly corporate greed. But continuing the fight takes both perseverance and money. With your help, we can make sure Mr Johnson has the resources he needs to keep the momentum going and we launch a campaign to stop Bayer-Monsanto appealing. Please, will you do your part to secure this epic win over Bayer and Monsanto?
