Strike Solidarity Requested, a Job Advert and More on Movies

Strike Solidarity Requested, a Job Advert and More on Movies r1 ...

Today (Monday) marks exactly three weeks since public health nurses in Thunder Bay were forced on strike. ... in the midst of an active TB outbreak.

These 58 nurses are the lowest paid public health nurses in Ontario and they're walking the picket line again today because they deserve a fair collective agreement that doesn't set them back further.

Please take 30 seconds to send a message to the Thunder Bay District Board of Health, their employer, right now. If it takes more than 30 seconds, send me a message to let me know and LabourStart Canada will buy you a subscription to Our Times, Canada's independent labour magazine.

While we have your attention...

rabble.ca is looking for a budding labour journalist to fill an intern position for the coming year. Details HERE.

And, as promised, more details for this year's Canadian Labour International Film Festival events across the country are HERE.

Just in case you've forgotten: send your solidarity message HERE.
In Solidarity,

Derek Blackadder
