Take action this week with #TheResistanceCampaign against #whitepaper2019

Idle No More ...

Paov --

It’s been a busy week for #TheResistanceCampaign as the Day of Action is just around the corner! Idle No More and other groups have joined forces with an inspiring pair of Indigenous youth (Dakota Bear & Casey Desarjalis) who have been helping organize national rallies against the government’s White Paper agenda. Check out the webinar tomorrow, join the Day of Action on Monday, and add your voice to the #OnTheRecord campaign and the Women’s Declaration.

Ways to get involved:

1. Participate in a webinar moderated by #TheResistanceCampaign featuring guests Sylvia McAdam Saysewahum (Treaty 6 lands), Chief Judy Wilson (Neskonlith, Secwepmec Nation), and Russ Diabo (Kahnawake). We will be discussing the White Paper Agenda and the urgency of taking action against this legislation. The webinar will be streamed live on Sunday May 26 from 5pm - 6pm EST http://www.idlenomore.ca/resistance-webinar

2. Join the National Day of Action Monday 27

3. Add your voice to the #OnTheRecord Project

On The Record: a project launched by #TheResistanceCampaign, is a call-to-action to voice your non-consent and non-support towards the Rights and Recognition Framework in a 1-2 minute video. The grassroots people are the true inherent rights and title holders. We are the real Treaty holders and our voices need to be heard and included! The White Paper 2.0 is a series of legislation and policies that infringe on these rights and eventually extinguish them as a whole. This project will compile the many voices and concerns BY the grassroots people - the true holders of title, rights and treaty.

4. Join the Women’s Declaration Call to Action, wear Red on Monday May 27th, and sign the petition.

On Monday, May 27th we call on women to wear red and take a picture or video stating their commitment to join the movement to stop Canada’s termination agenda. In this video Delores Chief (Councilor, Onion Lake Cree Nation) calls on all women to stand up for our children and future generations.
