They wouldn't even let us speak...

Stand up for Indigenous Peoples' human rights

Friends this is urgent. Bill C-262 is a vital piece of legislation that we've been supporting for years. It would put Canada on a better path toward genuine reconciliation.

Our elected representatives... voted for C-262. It was carefully studied. But now a handful of senators are deliberately holding it up. Apparently they're hoping Canadians won't notice.

Because of the upcoming recess and then the election, C-262 has to pass within the next two weeks.

The Conservative Party supported C-262 in a unanimous motion in the House, but now Conservative Senators are blocking it.

He needs to hear that Canadians want him to do everything he can to get Conservative Senators to stop obstructing C-262.

I was scheduled to appear at the Senate on Wednesday evening, but Senator Don Plett pulled a maneuver to cancel that Senate committee meeting. This isn't how our democracy is supposed to function.

Just a handful of Senators have decided they will hold up this historic and important piece of legislation in spite of widespread bi-partisan support for it.
