bee extinction

A,

BIG news! I've just booked a top bee scientist to crash Kroger's most important meeting of the year. This brave bee expert is ready to face down Kroger's top execs for selling food laced with bee-killing pesticides.

This could be just what we need to get bee-killing pesticides out of Kroger's food. But to pull it off I need your help.

Can you chip to save the bees from Kroger?

Hundreds of bee species are facing extinction, and time is running out to save them.

But you can -- by forcing one of the biggest retailers in the world to cut out bee-harming pesticides.

With your help, we’ll send a bee scientist to Kroger’s shareholder meeting to show investors that bee extinction is bad business!

A,

The UN is sounding the alarm: bee extinction will devastate the world’s food supply.

And bees are already dropping dead all over the world. Last year was one of the worst years ever for the bees: 700 species are on the way to extinction in North America alone.

But you and I can save the bees -- we just have to act fast and get creative.

Here’s the plan: in just a few weeks one of the biggest retail store chains in the world, Kroger, has its flashy annual investor meeting. Major investors, media, and executives will all be in a room together -- this is our moment to get Kroger to save the bees by cutting bee-killing pesticides out of its food.

We can force company investors to face the facts by flying a bee scientist to the meeting to give powerful testimony. Because without bees, a third of our food -- and quite a bit of Kroger’s products -- won’t be able to grow!

We just have to raise enough cash to make it to the meeting. Can you make that happen, A?

If supermarket-giant Kroger gets bee-harming pesticides out of its products, then the bees have a fighting chance.

Thanks to people like you, retail chains like Walmart, Home Depot, and Lowe's have responded to consumer pressure to phase out bee-harming pesticides and reverse the trend of bee extinction.

Together, you and I have gone after the biggest retailers in the world one by one with protests and actions at their shareholder meetings. And we’ve won. Next on our list is Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the U.S. and third largest retailer in the world. Last year, our proposal to phase out bee-harming pesticides won nearly one-third of the shareholder vote!

Now, the momentum is growing faster than ever. Costco recently announced plans to pull bee-harming pesticides from its shelves because of consumer pressure.

With your help, we can make a real splash at Kroger's shareholder meeting and get it to cave just like Costco did!

Please, can you chip in today A?
