See you in court Trump

A,

A brave group of beekeepers is suing the Trump administration on behalf of bees -- and they need your help today.

Trump just put the dangerous pesticide sulfoxaflor back on the market even though it’s linked to the deaths of tens of thousands of bee colonies.

We thought this was game over for bees -- and it still could be, if we don’t act quickly. The beekeepers at the Pollinator Stewardship Council are taking the Trump administration to federal court to save the bees -- this is where you come in, A.

The beekeepers are putting their business on the line to take on Trump and save the bees, so they urgently need your help to fund their legal fight against Trump and his cronies.

A,

Bad news for the bees: The Trump administration just put the bee-killing pesticide sulfoxaflor back on the market -- even though this "new neonic” will contribute to the die-offs of tens of thousands of bee colonies.

But there’s hope yet: a small, brave coalition of beekeepers are suing the Trump administration to get sulfoxaflor banned -- and you can help them, A.

The beekeepers are going to the US Court of Appeals to face down the might of Trump’s administration and its cronies in the pesticide lobby.

Worldwide mass bee extinction is a real and terrifying threat, thanks to pesticides like sulfoxaflor. Trump’s Environmental Protection Agency has given sulfoxaflor the green light, even though in previous years the EPA admitted sulfoxaflor is “very highly toxic to bees.” But Trump is more interested in helping his friends at Dow Chemical than protecting bees.

If we lose this, pesticide giant Dow Chemical will have free rein to sell bee-harming sulfoxaflor. That could be game over for our buzzing friends -- and a fundamental threat to the world’s food supply.

That’s why beekeepers are fighting back.

But this fight comes with huge risks: taking on the pesticide industry means beekeepers are putting their livelihood on the line. Their businesses will be at risk because the farms they do business with often refuse to work with beekeepers who stand up to the pesticide industry. So they urgently need your help if they’re going to have the money they need to win this case.

We may never have as much money as the big corporations, but SumOfUs members like you have shown that when we stand together we punch well above our weight.

A few months ago, your donations sent one of these brave beekeepers, Michele Colopy, to the annual shareholder meeting for Kroger, one of the world’s biggest retailers. When she spoke face to face with Kroger executives they changed their pollinator policy that very day.

Now, this brave beekeeper and her bee-loving friends and colleagues are taking on Trump.

They can’t do it alone -- can you chip in and show them that we have their back again?
