BC plastics

Hot on the heels of the single-use plastics ban at the federal level, the BC government is now considering banning plastics in the province.

Do your part to ban corporate plastics waste in BC by taking this survey.

A shopping bag suffocating a seal, a turtle with a straw wedged up its nose, the insides of a bird filled with bottle caps - it’s a plastic nightmare for sea animals.

And it's caused by massive corporations like McDonald's, Tim Hortons, Nestlé and Coco-cola.

But now you have a chance to stop it in BC. The province is considering a provincial ban and wants to hear from you.

But with only a few days before the consultation process ends, time is running out to have your say.

Help stop the plastics crisis by filling out the survey to end plastic pollution today.

It was SumOfUs members like you that played a critical role in pushing through real plastics solutions on the federal level, when over 171,000 SumOfUs members signed the petition supporting the motion to take real action on plastics.

Now, you can do the same in BC. We know that pressure like this works and that’s why it’s so important to let your views be known. But time is running out. We only have until next Monday to submit comments.

Plastics from giant corporations such as Coca-Cola and McDonald's are a scourge on our planet, killing 100,000 marine animals and 1,000,000 sea birds every year. Together, we’ve already forced the federal government to take action. Now, if we all work together again, we can support BC leading the provinces to a plastic-free future we all want.
