A,

Local residents in Vittel, France, are exhausted. They're in a desperate fight to stop Nestlé from pumping their precious groundwater. Every year they watch as the levels sink to dangerously new lows and they face yet another drought.

But these volunteers aren’t giving up just yet: they have another shot at giving Nestlé the boot.

Right now, Nestlé is facing charges for pumping water without permission. The corporate giant is in panic mode -- with enough pressure it could cave to the community and finally leave.

These volunteers are paying out their own pockets for travel, banners and expert legal advice -- but unless we help them, they’ll run out of money in weeks.

A, will you help this town fight Nestlé?

Yes -- I’ll chip in to keep Nestlé’s greedy hands off Vittel’s precious water.

Every year, Nestlé steals enough water from Vittel to fill 280 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

It gets worse: Nestlé has all but taken over the region of Vittel and even elected officials are afraid of speaking out against the bottling giant. It’s a nightmare -- one that these residents are living every day.

But against all odds, this small-but-mighty community has already dealt a serious blow to Nestlé. Last year, the government canceled plans for a water pipeline project that would have forced the townspeople to pay as much as €30 million to let Nestlé drain all their water away.

They’re inching closer to a future free from Nestlé's greed -- but this next sprint is the hardest. Last year’s victory came at a huge financial cost for these volunteers, and without your help it could be game over.

Year after year, SumOfUs members like you have backed the people of Vittel. You’ve been helping every step of the way, and now, in these next crucial months, they need you more than ever.

Can you chip in to help this town beat Nestlé for good?

Thanks for all that you do,
Fatah, Anna and the team at SumOfUs
