International Action to End Mass Surveillance
In the last year, the world has learned that mass surveillance by governments knows no bounds. Today, February 11th, internet users around...
the world are standing together as part of an action called The Day We Fight Back.
Because freedom of expression cannot thrive in a world without privacy, we would like you to join us.
What can you do right now?
Today is federal budget day in Canada, tell your Member of Parliament it’s time to end secretive, expensive and out of control surveillance.
Tell your MP it’s time they stood up for privacy. Email your MP right now.
The BCCLA is working to protect the privacy of Canadians from all angles.
Last week, we filed legal complaints against CSIS and the RCMP for spying on opponents of the Northern Gateway pipeline project; standing up for the democratic rights all Canadians.
In October of 2013, we filed a historic lawsuit against the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC) for violating the constitutional rights of Canadians to be free from search and seizure.
Today, we're counting on people power. As members of the Protect Our Privacy coalition, the largest pro-privacy coalition in Canadian history, we’re standing up to demand an end to mass surveillance. Email your MP and raise your voice to oppose mass surveillance.
Sincerely,
Josh Paterson and the BCCLA Team
