PAOV — Canada’s last captive orca, Kiska, has spent 40 years in captivity and the last 10 years living alone at Marineland in Niagara Falls. Over 23,000 supporters are urging Marineland to release Kiska to a whale sanctuary so she does not spend the last years of her life alone. If you think Kiska should be released, sign the petition now.

38,806 have signed Molly McKinney’s petition. Let’s get to 50,000!
Kiska is the last captive orca to be held in a canadian facility in Marineland, Ontario.
Kiska was captured almost 40 years ago off the coast of Iceland and is currently living alone in Marineland. The negative developmental effects of orcas in capacity have lead to a deterioration in their mental and physical well being. Captivity has left these animals without the skills they need to survive in the open ocean. By taking action and placing Kiska into an appropriate facility, such as a whale sanctuary, she can begin to acclimate to the wild and live a more natural and healthy life.
