Let's get climate on the agenda

The Leaders' Debates start tomorrow. Join us to demand climate action. r1

Paov,

Tomorrow, the official Federal Leaders' Debates will kick off. We have to make sure that the climate emergency is at the top of the agenda especially as climate-driven wildfires continue to burn through Western Canada.

That’s why, tomorrow, on September 8th, over 60 communities across Canada are rising up to set the bar for climate action ahead of the leaders' debates. Check out our action directory to find out if there's an action close to you.

If there isn't an action taking place near you, I encourage you to get out on the streets anyway. All you have to do is print out a sign from our arts toolkit, take it to a central location in your town, and take a photo of you holding it up. You can post the photo using #CanadaOnFire or send it to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

If all of us take action in as many different towns and cities as possible, we can make sure that tomorrow will be the largest national day of action to take place during this election. As thousands of people rise up in nearly every single province and territory,... we will send a clear message: it's time for Canadian politicians to meet the climate emergency with the urgency it demands.

Together, we will remind every single candidate, party, and media outlet across the country that real action on the climate emergency means stopping fossil fuel expansion and delivering a just transition that supports workers and communities. Check out our website to see the full action map and all our action planning resources.

Onwards,

Chris
