UN Special Rapporteur to join PBI webinar on COP26 r1

David R. Boyd was instrumental in the United Nations Human Rights Council recently recognizing the human right to a safe, clean, healthy and sustainable environment.

Boyd, the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights and the environment, commented:

“This resolution is especially important for all of the environmental human rights defenders working, often at great personal risk, to safeguard the land, air, water and ecosystems that we all depend on.”

He will be joining PBI accompanied land defenders from Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Kenya for a webinar on Saturday November 6 to talk about this newly recognized right and the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow.
