Dear Friend,

For society to change, we need to tackle problems on multiple fronts. We're tackling the problem of long-term solitary confinement in prisons by going to court. you can join us and support our lawsuit.

Join us on November 24, 6 pm – 7:30 pm PT for a virtual conversation with panelists:

- Jen Metcalfe from Prisoners’ Legal Services;

- Poet and activist El Jones;

- BCCLA Senior Counsel Megan Tweedie

They will speak about prison conditions in Canada and how they intersect with other issues in our society. BCCLA Staff Counsel, Jessica Magonet will be moderating the conversation to explore what transformative change is needed, and how we can all be a part of it.

Peoples’ rights are being violated, with devastating consequences for their physical and mental wellbeing. Solitary confinement is debilitating, dehumanizing and must stop now.
