A,
PayPal will not serve Palestinians living in Israeli-occupied West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Yet PayPal serves Israelis living in the illegal settlements in the very same locations.
So far, over 200,000 SumOfUs members have signed the petition calling on PayPal to end this blatant discrimination. The Incredible Hulk (aka. Hollywood superstar Mark Ruffalo) has shared our petition causing it to go viral. And thanks to our friends 7amleh, the campaign has gotten press hits worldwide.
The pressure is building but we need to keep up the heat on PayPal. So, you’re invited to an exclusive webinar about PayPal’s discrimination and the next steps of our campaign.
Come along to hear from incredible speakers:
- Linda Sarsour, executive director of MPower Change and co-chair of the largest single day protest in US history, the Women’s March ;
- Nadim Nashif, executive director and co-founder of 7amleh, The Arab Center for the Advancement of Social Media ;
- Lara Friedman, President of the Foundation for Middle East Peace
Will you join us on Thursday at 9am PT / 12PM ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CET / 7pm Palestine time on Zoom?
I can't make it, but I... can share the details of the webinar with my friends on Facebook.
Here are the details:
What: PayPal4Palestine Panel Discussion

The Israeli occupation makes it next to impossible for Palestinians to make ends meet. Unemployment is a shocking 48% in Gaza. During the webinar, my colleague Angus will be asking the panelists how PayPal’s discriminatory practices are affecting Palestinian entrepreneurs every day.
SumOfUs members like you made a huge difference in getting Ben & Jerry’s to announce that they will stop selling ice cream in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and our panelists will address how the PayPal campaign fits in the greater Palestinian solidarity movement.
Click here to register for August 4th webinar and learn more PayPal’s discriminatory practices.
We are busy planning our next steps on the campaign to stop PayPal’s discrimination of Palestinians. But before we ramp up the pressure, we want to give members like you a chance to hear more about the campaign and ask questions. Please join us on August 4th.
Thanks for all that you do,
Ibrahim, Nish, Angus, and the team at SumOfUs
