PAOV — Earlier this week, Bell Media announced that Lisa LaFlamme, Chief News Anchor for CTV News, would be replaced, in a move that’s being called ageist and sexist. LaFlamme had been with CTV News for 35 years, and has stated that it was not her choice or decision to leave the network. Petition starter Miles is urging Bell Media to reconsider their decision and bring LaFlamme back to CTV News. Show your support by signing the petition now.

Bell Media announced on August 15th, 2022 that Chief News Anchor of CTV News, Lisa LaFlamme was being replaced by Omar Sachedina. Lisa LaFlamme posted her own video, stating that she was "blindsided" and was "shocked and saddened" by Bell Media’s decision. Lisa LaFlamme has been with CTV News for the past 35 years and has become the most trusted voice in national news for many Canadians such has myself. I think Bell Media is making a huge mistake by taking Lisa LaFlamme off of the air and I think they need to reconsider this decision and reinstate her as Chief News Anchor. I am asking everyone who agrees with me to please sign this petition. Thanks.
