Living Building Challenge Taking Hold in Asia
The restorative framework of the Living Building Challenge is resonating with more people in more places than ever, particularly in Asia. In recent months, the Challenge saw its first projects registered in China and in India.
In addition, we've teamed up with GIGA, a Chinese materials research foundation and open source database, to conduct materials research with local projects and encourage Chinese manufacturers to enroll in Declare, the Institute's ingredients label for building products.
By gaining traction in China and India, the world's largest and third-largest construction markets respectively, the Challenge is poised to shift building practices with massive ecological, economic and social implications.

Ramping Up for Living Future 2014
The program for the Institute's annual unConference is set, along with an impressive selection of workshops, summits and tours taking place prior to the Opening Reception on Wednesday. Through our shoulder events, delegates can delve deep into the framework of the Living Building Challenge, network with like-minded practitioners, or even tour Portland via kayak. Learn More.
Don't be left out! Register today to reserve your place at the only conference rooted in the principles of the Living Building Challenge.
Although the Living Future 2014 Trade Show is sold out, there are still a number of sponsorship opportunities available. Learn More.

Exploring Beauty from Every Angle
In the weeks leading up to Living Future 2014, we're asking Living Futurists around the world to participate in an exploration of beauty at the local scale. Through our Beauty from Every Angle campaign, we invite you to share photos of the people, places and natural wonders that inspire you. To participate, simply post your photos to Instagram with the hashtag #LF14Beauty.

Trim Tab Gets Inspired
Our current edition of Trim Tab Magazine discusses the power of inspiration. The issue includes an article on the future of transportation, along with a profile of the Net Zero Energy-Certified Packard Foundation Headquarters and an interview with Living Future 2014 keynote Jay Harman. Read the current issue and keep an eye out of our next issue, due to be released later this month!
